Meet UPWARD’s Lecturer: Tiffany A. C. Moore

Tiffany is a seasoned higher education professional and holds a PhD in English from Northeastern University in Boston. Her primary research focus is Shakespeare and cinema, though she considers herself a generalist. Tiffany’s 25-year diverse career in education includes experience in curriculum development, student mentoring, managing writing centers, and multidisciplinary teaching at leading global universities.
Tiffany’s career development in education was driven by her love of teaching. In her view, the learning process should never stop. Because she always wanted to be “in school,” she found a solution—teaching is her “secret way” to never leave the educational space.

The teaching profession opened doors for Tiffany to multidimensional opportunities. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to meet many interesting people from different fields, travel, and live in various countries.

One interesting fact about Tiffany—she is a professional actress who has been on stage since the age of 4. She has acted numerous times in theater and cinema and has even worked on voice acting. This experience gives her teaching style a special dynamic.
As Tiffany notes, her goal is to make the learning process as interactive and student-oriented as possible. In her opinion, an inductive approach gives students more confidence. At the same time, her acting experience helps her to be flexible and easily improvise based on the class’s interests. Therefore, her lessons are never boring or routine.
